Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of leader mindfulness in communication on job crafting through resilience and to investigate the moderating role of open-mindedness among employees in the Indonesian banking sector. The study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method involving 231 respondents. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings indicate that leader mindfulness in communication has a positive effect on resilience, resilience has a positive effect on job crafting, and resilience mediates the relationship between leader mindfulness in communication and job crafting. In addition, open-mindedness was found to strengthen both the relationship between leader mindfulness in communication and resilience and the relationship between resilience and job crafting. This study is limited to respondents from the banking sector; therefore, the findings cannot be generalized to other sectors. Future research is recommended to expand the scope of the study by examining different industry sectors, comparing multiple industries, and considering additional variables that may influence job crafting.
